GDGPS Vitamin C day was celebrated on 3 Oct 16, in the school premises. A special assembly was organised by the pre primary section.
Vitamin C is abundant in vegetables and fruits. Students of classes pre nursery, nursery, I and II beautifully spoke some lines on the importance of vitamin C.
Class K.G. students have recited a wonderful rhyme.
At last a video of importance of vitamin C was shown to the students. They made different craft articles too.

Grandparents are our heritage and are essential members of our families and communities. That is why a special day, Grandparents day was celebrated on Oct 21, 2016.
They were welcomed in a traditional way by putting tika and smiley badges. A heart warming program was thrown by our pre-primary section. They presented songs, rhymes, dances and skit to show the importance of grandparents.
At last grandparents were involved in some games.
It was a great day in which love and affection of the Goenkans for their grandparents was flowing in the air.
Keeping the festive spirit alive, Dussehra was celebrated on 6th October at GDGPS Gkp. Various activities including speeches on Dussehra & Ramleela glorified the occasion. To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, the effigy of Ravana was burnt. Principal Dr. Ms. Jaishree Bhargava blessed the students while inspiring them to follow the path of truth.
Goenkans celebrated Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti in school, on 2nd October 2016, with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism.The assembly for the pre-primary section began with garlanding their pictures by the Principal. Children were given an account of how he led our nation in the fight for freedom and sacrificed his life for social equality. Students of have spoken some lines on Mahatma Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Shastri. A wonderful dance performance on Raghupati Raghav Rajaram & group singing on Vaishnav Jan Bhajan was done. Our little Goenkans presented a skit on Gandhi Ji.
GDGPS Gkp celebrated International Day for Peace on September 28. Our Goenkans performed on a song, elaborated the word ‘peace’. At last exciting craft activities were done. Students made Gandhi ji’s charkha and symbol of peace along with Shashtriji’s plough & gun.
GDGPS Gorakhpur paid respectful homage to the 18 soldiers who laid down their lives for the country in Uri on September 22, 2016.
The Principal Dr. Ms. Jaishree Bhargava along with Chairman Mr. Raju Kr. Jaiswal lighted candles & remembered the contribution of the martyrs whose lives were taken away by terrorists.
She also appealed to all present to remember the soldiers for their brave efforts and supreme sacrifice.
Principal’s address created a poignant atmosphere and the teachers of the school vowed that they would, apart from teaching, instil the spirit of patriotism among today’s youths, as it is the need of the hour.
The students too promised that their first priority would be their country’s safety and development, and their own comfort and career would only come next.
G.D.G.P.S Gorakhpur celebrated Onam in the school’s premises on Sep 14, 2016. The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam) in the pre primary section.
The main attractions of the programme were speech by class 2 students, Pulikali (tiger dance) by class 1 students and group dance by class K.G. students. Another attraction of the day was the traditional prayer presented by our tiny tots with banana leaves. At last take away activity was done.
Teachers’ day was celebrated in GDGPS Gkp. In the morning, the students put up an entertaining programme for their teachers & expressed their gratitude with handmade cards & flowers. Later, the management hosted a get-together for the Teachers. On this occasion, the Principal Dr. Ms Jaishree Bhargava articulated her appreciation to the teachers. She said that only teachers can inculcate discipline, creativity and ensure all-round development of students. The profession of teachers holds a huge responsibility for the bright future of student and teachers are promoters of an ideal nation. The Tambola & games hosted by the Principal were enjoyed by all the teaching and admin staff. After that gifts were distributed by the Chairman to all the staff. The celebration ended with a delicious lunch.
Ganesha Chaturthi was celebrated on September 5, 2016. It began with a dance by class 1 and 2 students, dedicated to teachers.
A skit based on Ganesha’s Childhood was staged. The skit gave a strong message to the students that parents are equal to god. Our little Goenkans presented some wonderful dance performances on devotional songs.
At the end, Lord Ganesha’s aarti was sung by our tiny tots. Ganesha Idols making activity with clay was done.
