G. D. Goenka Public School,Gorakhpur, organised an orientation programme for the parents on 6 April,2018 in the school conference hall. The aim was to familiarise the parents as ‘partners in progress’ with curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
The session started with a welcome note by our hon’ble Principal Mr. P.K.Pandey.
In his speech sir, laid stress on the holistic development of the child which is the main aim and objective of the school. Furthermore, the parents were briefed about the pattern of examination, activities and techniques of evaluation.
The teachers gave an over view of various subjects like English, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Hindi and not to forget the co-scholastic activities which provided the parents with an assurance that our curriculum involves hands on learning activities which not only are a vent to creative talents and energies of the children but also help in their all round development.
The academic head of entire G.D.School, Ms.Manjeet Kaur also made the programme more lively and interactive by her gracious presence and briefed the parents regarding the mission and vision of G.D. Goenka Public School and also made it clear that how this modern school is different from other traditional schools. She also said that a creative curriculum offers plenty of opportunities to exhibit creative behaviour. She also added that today’s children must be given the chance to develop their creativity to the fullest.
The Chairman of the school Mr. Raju Kumar Jaiswal ended the orientation programme on a good note with an aim of growing our children into happy, skilful and creatively well adjusted citizens. He also assured the parents that their suggestions are most welcome and he will personally look into it with the entire team to fulfil their desire.
At last the parents enjoyed the snacks and in this way the programme came to an end.
